World Learning is committed to the belief that human connections and education are some of the most effective and powerful ways to address our world’s most complex issues.
Through experiential learning, cultural immersion, and intercultural understanding, World Learning’s programs create a global network of learners who are empowered to cultivate new relationships, understand other cultures, and strive to make extraordinary change in their communities and in the world.
With three robust branches, World Learning Inc. holds a unique position as both a global nonprofit and an accredited academic institution. We are comprised of World Learning, a global development and exchange nonprofit organization; The Experiment in International Living, a pioneer of abroad and virtual youth exchange programs since 1932; and School for International Training, a global university offering accredited undergraduate study abroad programs and globally focused graduate degrees and certificates.
Our mission is to work globally to enhance the capacity and commitment of individuals, institutions, and communities to create a more sustainable, peaceful, and just world.
The principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (DEIA+) are reflected in our core values and are embedded across our organization’s global programs and operations.
By offering the best of theory and practice, World Learning aims to serve individuals who become empowered to create extraordinary change in the world. We strive to help others foster understanding, develop confidence, and activate change in their lives. Our programs provide opportunities to explore diverse backgrounds and cultures, consider new ways of thinking, collaborate with other changemakers, learn new skills, and share best practices.
